GREEN PASTURES

For the basis of the performance director Yuliya Aug took the stories by Anna Starobinets «Green Pastures» and «The Parasite» from a collection of fascinating stories about changing reality. In this reality, the awakened gene threatens to mold a human pupa either into an angel or a demon. And it is not yet known what will happen to the human consciousness when it becomes possible to digitize it into another being.

I AM HERE

I AM HERE is inspired by a "joint emotional experience programme". The play is based on texts by the poet Lev Rubinstein written at the end of the Soviet era onto index cards. The creative team has arranged two hours of tense collective contemplation, bringing the artistic matrix of Moscow conceptualism of the 1970s and 1980s into resonance with today. They conveniently draw on the postmodernist aesthetic of repetition, plastic, visual and musical minimalism, and Sots-Art collage.

The production of Andrey Prikotenko is a riddle and an invitation to its solution at the same time. What will happen if the characters of the famous theatrical plot are sent on a journey through the consciousness of the main character of our day - a sociopath? How will you react if these characters are deprived of their accustomed frames of existence and forced to fight in verbal (and not only) ironical battles? What do the popular book «The Universe in a Nutshell» and the multimedia reality have to do with it?

THE SNOW MAIDEN

"The Snow Maiden" is a story based on a play by Alexander Ostrovsky about an unknown kingdom of Berendeis, whose feelings and problems do not differ much from universal ones. The story of the Snow Maiden tells about the individuality. It's hard for the Snow Maiden to survive in the world ruled by stereotypes and thinking of the crowd. The performance about love, beauty and harmony has a genre of fantastic opera. Here words are replaced by sounds, vocalism and amazing acting plastic.

PEER GYNT

Peer Gynt is an adventurous character who travels all his life in many different spaces, in his sleep and in reality. The action takes place in Europe, in the United States, on the Moroccan coast of the Mediterranean, in the Sahara desert, in a madhouse in Cairo.
We will see Peer Gynt as a slave trader, as a businessman who hustles in ports, as a Bedouin leader, as a soothsayer and even as an emperor.
